Is counselling for you?

I guess the first thing that you need to be asking yourself is "Why am I thinking of having counselling?"

You need to think about whether you are going because you want to go or has someone else told you that they think you should go.

Counselling is a personal choice and you need to decide for yourself if you really want to start.

Counselling can create possibility and a shift in your way if being.

Counselling is not always the way to resolve issues that are affecting you but it may help you gain an understanding of what is going on and support you in feeling more in control. Here are some examples of what people may wish to explore:

  • Stress
  • Loss
  • Bereavement
  • Anxiety
  • Family difficulties
  • Loneliness
  • Low self Esteem
  • Anger
  • Post Traumatic Stress
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Unresolved issues from the past
  • Unemployment/Work related issues
  • Retirement
  • Being a victim of crime
